April 13, 2019 by Forimmediaterelease

British counter-terror police have arrested four men on suspicion of being members of a banned organization hours after they flew into United Kingdom.

The four Sri Lankan nationals arrived at London Luton Airport on 10 April and were arrested by police the next day.

A Met Police spokesman said: “Detectives from the Met Police Counter Terrorism Command are investigating after four men at Luton Airport were arrested on suspicion of membership of a proscribed organization.

“The men, who are all Sri Lankan nationals, arrived on an international flight on the evening of Wednesday, 10 April.

“All four men are currently in custody at a police station in Bedfordshire. Enquiries are ongoing.”

The four remain in custody at a police station in Bedfordshire.

Membership of a proscribed organization is contrary to section 11 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
