UNIGLOBE Travel International has announced the 2019 recipients of its performance and service awards. Winners were announced at the organization’s Global Rendezvous in Vienna, Austria to an audience of travel management companies (TMCs) from 25+ countries.
UNIGLOBE founder and chairman U. Gary Charlwood and president and chief operating officer Martin Charlwood presented the awards. Says Martin Charlwood, “UNIGLOBE is a family company, and the spirit of family defines our approach to customer service, supplier relationships and international operations. We congratulate all winners and thank them for their commitment to UNIGLOBE and our clients worldwide.”
The most prestigious award, TMC of the Year, was shared by UNIGLOBE Alliance Travel of the Netherlands and UNIGLOBE Travel Partners – NJ of New Jersey, USA.
Awards recognizing individual or team service and performance excellence went to UNIGLOBE Sportscorp Travel from Canada and UNIGLOBE Swire Travel, Philippines.
The John L. Henry, Whatever It Takes Award, went to Laura Koreman, UNIGLOBE Travel Holland and Andrew Burroughes, UNIGLOBE Preferred Travel, United Kingdom. “John had a unique gift for bringing people together, showed great integrity and went above and beyond for UNIGLOBE and this industry,” says U. Gary Charlwood.
