Now, following its successful Series B fundraising of £22m (€25m), Worldia is expanding its unique value proposition to new markets, with a special focus on the United Kingdom.
To direct Worldia’s launch and development in the UK the company has appointed Dave Pope, a well-respected travel industry professional with over 30 years of experience in a variety of tour operator and travel agency positions, most recently as Head of Sales and Training for four years at Not Just Travel.
Following working with operators such as Travelbag and Airtours, Pope developed his own industry consultancy and over 17 years he collaborated with major brands, including Abercrombie & Kent, Love Holidays, and Fred Olsen, as well as non-travel projects with HSBC and Microsoft.
