Transnistria was not so familiar tourist place in the past few years. But in current era, you can find this place as a pseudo type country that is on the hit list of the travellers. Whether you like to explore the nature or want to see the world class architecture, all probes will be complete once you travel to Transnistria. It was earlier the part of Moldova and later go independence as an individual country. However, many exclaim that still people regard it as a country that never exists.
How to enter the country?
You need a passport to visit- in order to visit Transnistria; you need to have a passport for sure. The passport design is inspired by the old school soviet that is typically seen in black and white colour. For internal travel to Transnistria, people need to hold the passport. When you will book the soviet tours, then you need the passport.
You can fairly enter the country by using Bus, Train and car from the west and east regions i.e. Moldova or Ukraine respectively. When you enter the country, you are supposed to present passport where the official will put a computerized stamp and a printout card will be provided in Russian or English language. Immigration check-in is necessary and stamped cards are supposed to present on the crossings you entered and half portion of the cards remain with you.

Shopping
In Tiraspol or Transnistria, you will not find malls or huge shopping streets. There is a limited choice for the tourists and even locals. The high quality brandy is quite cheap like $3 per bottle and cigarettes are also very cheap indeed. You can find out art and craft articles in local shops and a large open market in one area i.e. close to the Suvorov’s monument.
Currency
The local currency accepted is the Transnistrian Ruble. It has no ISO code but banks use either PRB or RUP for transactions.

Eat and drink
Various restaurants are visibly active in serving local and international cuisine. Western fast food chains may not be available, but yes, some not so popular pizza outlets are found in the food street regions. Mostly you will notice cafeteria style restaurants that are actually affordable for the foreign tourist.
Local cognac and wine are excellent choice you can invest in if you want to gift something to your friend. There are kvint shops in Tiraspol that serves cheapest beer and wine. Hence, a travel to Transnistria is incomplete until you take a sample of their local wine home. Another drink you will find interesting is the bread based soft drink i.e. fermented and is widely sold in the local markets known as Kvas.
Nightlife and accommodation
Well! To stay in the country it is advisable to book a reputed hotel rather finding a cheap one because of the facilities and hospitality reasons. Though, people in Transnistria are welcoming and the crime rate is quite low; still scams in terms of jugglery and local corruption is influencing the travellers.
