This summer, Gray is offering a new half-day kayak tour called “Taste of the Betsie”. On the tour, kayakers will spend time on the clear waters of the Betsie River close to popular resort Crystal Mountain. The tour will include tastings of local wine, mead, craft beer, and spirits, as well as, a 3-hour kayak tour. The tour will start with wine, mead and craft beer tastings at St. Ambrose Cellars. At St. Ambrose, Gray will created lunch with food inspired by his popular outdoor cookbook, Hey, I’d eat this at Home. Following lunch, travelers will kayak the beautiful Betsie River. Their final destination will be the area’s new state-of-the-art distillery, Iron Fish, with tastings of locally produced Michigan gin, wheat white whiskey, white rum, winter wheat vodka and bourbon, finished in Caribbean rum casks.
The“Taste of the Betsie” tour is $150 per person, available by reservation at www.mi-paddleadventure.com/trip/taste-of-the-betsie/. Tours will take place mid-July 2017 through mid-September 2017.
