Superior Dental Care Expands Dental Plan Options, Adds Exclusive Benefits

CENTERVILLE, Ohio, Dec. 29, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Superior Dental Care (SDC) expanded ancillary benefit options for employers this year by introducing new lower-cost dental plans and bolstering the value-added extras that come with their plans.

In June, SDC announced new Fit 500 dental plans named for the $500 contract maximum benefit per member. Each of the four Fit 500 plans covers a targeted set of dental services with no deductible and lower monthly premiums than traditional comprehensive dental plans.

“The goal of our Fit 500 plans is to offer employers a lower-cost dental benefits option for employees who don’t need or can’t afford comprehensive coverage. Fit 500 plans have allowed employers to keep dental as a stand-alone benefit when funds are limited. Other employers have purchased these plans to offer their employees an economical alternative to a richer dental plan already in place. In such an unsteady healthcare market, our Fit 500 plans have stood out for their versatility and affordability,” said Director of Sales and Service Shannon Ford.

In addition to the targeted dental plans, SDC added two new value-added benefits to all their dental plans in 2017: free prescription discount cards and a 10% discount on employee benefit administration and communication plans.

SDC’s free prescription discount card allows members to save an average of 20% off the regular retail price of select prescription drugs at participating retail pharmacies. The discount card can be used any time a prescription is not covered by insurance, or as an alternative to insurance.

SDC also has recently partnered with the locally-based BusinessPlans Inc. SDC clients can receive a 10% discount* on customized employee benefit statements, reimbursement plan administration and COBRA administration services.
