EXPERT ALERTS:

The Parkland Shooting, Its Media Coverage and the Aftermath
Dr. Christopher Metzler
Political Pundit and Government Strategist
“Post-Parkland, the media debate has fallen into the traditional NRA vs. Liberal debate. The president has offered conflicting statements about how to address the issue, and Parkland students continue to blanket the airwaves with a demand for change. Here is the reality: The leaders of the House and Senate have not said that they would bring up any legislation, thus continuing all talk and no action.”
An on-camera television and digital personality, Dr. Metzler is best known for going beyond the talking points with in-depth reasoning, modern-day voice, and analysis. During regular appearances on CNN, ABC, MSNBC, Fox News, Al Jazeera, HLN, Newsmax, CNBC, OAN, WHDT TV, BBC, Tv ONE, News One, Celebrity Page TV, Afterbuzz and more, he provides expert commentary on U.S. and global affairs, politics, human rights, human capital, diversity, healthcare, sexual harassment, trending topics, and law. He has also been featured on the Washington Post, WWD, Money Inc., Page Six, Managed Healthcare Executive, The Wave, UBC TV, Radar Online, The List, PBS, Who’s Who of the World, AURN, Amp Magazine, Trump Report, Black Hollywood Live, Book Circle Online, NPR, Dr. Drew, Coffee With America, etc. A seasoned, conservative political operative, Dr. Metzler has worked on major political campaigns, providing appropriate messaging and strategic advice as a direct link to the governing party, as well as the Republican party. The ultimate global insider, he has become one of America’s trusted crisis managers by flying under the radar helping politicians, world leaders, sports and entertainment figures, and other high-profile individuals in difficult situations. He is the author of “The Construction and Rearticulation of Race in a ‘Post-Racial’ America” (2008), and his forthcoming works include “Divided We Stand: The Quest for America’s Soul” (Post Hill Press, 2018). He is based in West Palm Beach, Fla.; Washington, D.C.; New York and Los Angeles.

Iceland’s Proposed Ban on Male Circumcision
Georganne Chapin
Executive Director
Intact America
Iceland’s progressive party has introduced a bill banning anyone from removing all or part of a child’s sexual organs. Iceland banned female circumcision in 2005; this brings parity to the issue. Religious leaders outside of Iceland claim the law would violate freedom of religious beliefs. Chapin penned an op-ed for the Minneapolis Star Tribune last year in which she said: “To people like me, an attorney and advocate for health care equity who has been fighting against circumcising baby boys who are too young to consent, it is evident that the rights of the child over his or her body must override a parent’s religious practice. Circumcision hurts boys as much as girls — sexually, medically, and emotionally.” (Article link: https://tinyurl.com/y7q6lhnj)
Based in Tarrytown, N.Y., Chapin is fluent in English and Spanish.

Geo-Engineering, a Plan for Global Warming
Peter Ticktin
Founder
Global Warming Foundation
“No doubt, the average world temperature has been increasing. That means that there is more and more energy in our atmosphere. This is why we see more and more effects of that energy. The time is coming when this problem will need to be addressed by geo-engineering. There are other actions that can be taken that will buy us more time. The ways of the past required us to spend and reduce the viability of our economy for the sake of reduction of burning fossil fuels. Now we need to prosper economically in order to perform the miracles we are going to need to pull off. It takes money to re-build infrastructure. It takes money to geo-engineer the world. So, do we continue the old way, which didn’t do much good, and go down into oblivion with good goals, or do we completely regroup and deal with this problem head on, rationally, effectively?”
Ticktin, whose mission is to inform those already accepting of the threat of global warming, educates the public about global warming in his insightful blog, “What’s Tickin’, America?” Ticktin believes that a booming economy will confront this global threat as he shares it on his new blog. He is retired from his  highly successful law firm, Ticktin Law.
