Photographic exhibition captures the scenic beauty and natural charm of Thailand and the Thai people

Bangkok, 25 September 2020 – About 120 stunning photographs capturing the scenic beauty, natural charm, and warmth of Thailand and the Thai people have been released for public display at a special exhibition organised by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in collaboration with the Royal Photographic Society of Thailand (RPST) under Royal Patronage.

Under the theme of “60 Photographers Showcase Photos of Thailand, Amazing More Than Ever”, the photographs were unveiled in an official ceremony on 24 September at the C ASEAN Auditorium, 10th Floor, CW Tower Building, Ratchadaphisek Road, Bangkok.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Tanes Petsuwan, TAT Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications and Mr. Dao Wasikasiri, President of the Royal Photographic Society of Thailand (RPST), along with Mr. Vinit Rungphung, Director of Marketing Services, TAT.

The photographs were commissioned to commemorate the 60th anniversary of TAT and help the Thai people better appreciate, respect, and value the kingdom’s natural, social, cultural, and ethnic heritage. The photographers were given full artistic and creative freedom to let their work reflect the landscapes and lifestyles of Thailand’s top tourist destinations.

Mr. Tanes said, “These amazing images will give a significant boost to our domestic tourism promotion campaign by highlighting the sustainability and cultural cohesion of Thailand and its rich socio-ethnic heritage. We would like to thank all the 60 photographers for sharing their talent and ingenuity for the benefit of the Thai people.”

The images will be displayed via TAT’s social media network and published in the TAT’s official monthly Osotho magazine and the website https://osothoonline.com.
