Let WeHo Be Your Guide to Pride

First, three easy picks for hotel deals:
The Grafton on Sunset, West Hollywood’s chic urban retreat, is offering the most important Pride extras from June 6-11; complimentary welcome beverage to get the party started in Bar 20, their guitar-inspired cocktail lounge, upgraded WiFi and the coveted late check-out, as well as its perfect location, make this a done deal. 8462 West Sunset Boulevard.

Palihouse, West Hollywood’s urban lodge, (imagine the pied-a-terre you’ve always wanted) shares a 20% deal off food and beverage. Given their in-house restaurant is the festive al fresco restaurant, Mardi, under the direction of Chef Kris Tominaga, this is a deal to be proud of any time. The deal is good for beverages in the living room bar, too, with a house-made cocktail program and curated wine list. 8564 Holloway Drive between Santa Monica Boulevard and the Sunset Strip.

Le Parc Suite Hotel, a chic boutique all-suite hotel with distinctive guest rooms, living room, kitchen and balconies on a quiet, residential street in the center of everything, shaves off 15% from the already best available rate. Also included is $15 off parking (leave it, you won’t need it) and a full American breakfast in their private dining room for each day of stay, for one or two people. 733 West Knoll Drive.

Want to live large AND donate to (RED) AIDS Charity? Book the new Jonathan Adler-designed (RED) suite at the Andaz. Thirty percent of the price goes directly to the charity, while you get 24 hours living inside a bold, colorful give-back statement. (Yes, giving to charity feels so good.) 8401 West Sunset Boulevard.

Now, plan the pride:
This year, LA PRIDE has partnered with the Los Angeles Dodgers to host the official 2017 LA Pride kickoff party at Dodger Stadium on Friday, June 9 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Right Field Plaza Bar and concluding with the first pitch at 7:10 p.m.

This is their fifth year to host their annual LGBT Night at Dodger Stadium (vs. CIN, 7:10 p.m.)  The first pitch will be thrown by Golden Globe award winner actor Matt Bomer and the game will conclude with music by George Figares and DJ Blacklow (Jeremy Blacklow). Fans are invited on the field immediately following the game for a fireworks show. A special event ticket package that includes a game ticket for the Dodgers’ June 9 game and an exclusive Dodger LGBT Tee Shirt is available for purchase now exclusively by visiting www.dodgers.com/LGBT.

The LA PRIDE Festival takes place every year at West Hollywood City Park, the stage for live music, speeches, food, drink and parties. This year’s lineup includes Chromeo, Brandy, Young M.A., Erika Jayne, Brooke Candy, Kat Dahlia, ILoveMakonnen, Aaron Carter, Spencer Luidwig, Starley, Tish Hyman, Leon Else, Connell Cruise, and Jesse Monana. Purchase tickets at www.lapride.com.

Sunday June 11 8 AM True to its social justice roots, LA Pride will march rather than parade in 2017. The #ResistMarch for human rights starts in Hollywood – where Christopher Street West (CSW) organized the world’s first permitted gay rights march in 1970 – and ends in West Hollywood by the LA Pride festival. To join in, meet at Hollywood and Highland at 8 AM on Sunday. This historic event is being held in solidarity with National Equality March for Unity and Pride in Washington, DC and marches in New York, Austin, Seattle and other cities across the nation. • Mel’s Diner – gives a free Rainhow shake with purchase
  • The Guild – use “The Guild LA Pride” as a code and get %10 off the bill
