Kimono is First to Share Learning Data Using SIF

SALT LAKE CITY, April 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Last month at the A4L Community 2018 Annual Meeting, Kimono showed the first live demonstration of grade passback using the SIF (Schools Interoperability Framework) Specification. This was the first time the A4L Community saw learning data shared from Canvas to back to the gradebook using the SIF standard. Kimono has implemented the functionality using SIF for 30 districts so far, supporting hundreds of thousands of assignments per week over thousands of courses.

With schools adopting enterprise learning management systems (LMS) and a host of digital applications for the classroom, demand to share student performance data between systems is massive. Educators need outcomes back in the student information system (SIS) or gradebook, where that data can be used to report grades and inform instruction.
