The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) has partnered with Grand Slam Track™ to host their inaugural event scheduled for Kingston this week from April 4-6. Grand Slam Track™ is the global home of professional track competition launched by four-time Olympic Champion Michael Johnson.
This event falls in the midst of Kingston’s vibrant “Season of Excitement“, a lineup of major sporting and cultural events set to deliver an exciting season filled with world class athletics and entertainment.
Kingston will host the first of four highly anticipated Slams, showcasing the world’s fastest athletes. Fans in attendance will witness speed and skill from Olympians and World Champions like Gabby Thomas, Kenny Bednarek, Fred Kerley, and many others. The competitors will race twice across three days in a battle for glory, competing for the largest prize money pool ever offered in the sport. The eventwill stream live on Peacock in the US, with The CW broadcasting linear coverage of Saturday and Sunday of all Slams.

After the races, we encourage visitors to delve into the rich tapestry of Jamaican culture through exploration of our vibrant music, delectable cuisine, natural attractions, and renowned warmth and hospitality.”
Kingston, known as the cultural and sporting hub of Jamaica, is offering a unique blend of competition, celebration, and local charm for visitors this spring with events including ISSA Boys and Girls Championships (March 25-29), Grand Slam Track (April 4-6), and Carnival in Jamaica (April 21-28), setting the city abuzz with excitement.

Grand Slam Track™ is the global home of elite track competition founded by four-time Olympic champion Michael Johnson. The league is redefining the landscape of track with a focus on head-to-head competition between the fastest humans on the planet: fostering rivalries, celebrating racing, and putting fans first.
