In addition to the CR Champion Award, Hertz’s corporate cafeteria, located at its world headquarters, was recently re-certified by the Green Restaurant Association as a 4 Star Certified Green Restaurant^®. The cafeteria is the only 4 Star Certified Green Restaurant in Florida and one of only three 4-Star Certified Green Restaurant corporate cafeterias in the world. With the steps the company has taken to earn the certification, Hertz can save 242,548 gallons of water, divert more than 25,170 pounds of waste and save 182,738 kWh of electricity each year.

Hertz also recently received two GreeningATL Excellence Awards from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, taking top honors in the categories of Waste Management and Product Innovation. The annual GreeningATL awards were created to recognize aerotropolis community members and organizations that have demonstrated outstanding leadership by promoting and implementing measures to advance sustainability, specifically through environmentally based achievements.
