Guam is the first United States Territory to celebrate the new year 2024. Located in the Western Pacific Ocean, Guam is 20 time hours from the closest US State Hawaii, the State in the U.S. last to welcome 2024. Guam is known for its slogan:
Guam, Where America’s Day Begins.
The Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) is proud to announce that it will host two fireworks shows and one drone show to celebrate the New Year on December 31, 2023, into January 1, 2024, as follows:
Tumon Bay: 11:50 p.m. (12/31/23) Drone Show
12:00 a.m. (1/1/24) Fireworks
Hagatña Bay: 12:00 a.m. (1/1/24) Fireworks

GVB has historically hosted fireworks shows annually for Guam and recently began including a drone show to make the New Year event more memorable for residents and visitors during this holiday season.
The events will commence in Tumon with a 9-minute drone performance by Bella Wings Aviation at 11:50 p.m., leading into a traditional fireworks show at midnight by JamzMedia Productions/ShowPro Pyrotechnics launched from Governor Joseph Flores Beach Park (Ypao Beach). In Hagatña, an additional fireworks show will be launched simultaneously at midnight over Hagatña Bay.
“GVB is proud to be able to continue the New Year’s tradition with fireworks and the drone show this year. We aim to provide a family-friendly way to welcome 2024 and show our visitors and new residents how we celebrate the Holidays together as an island,” said GVB President and CEO Carl T.C. Gutierrez.
GVB would like to invite the community to come out and enjoy this special event. However, it is strongly advised that there be no swimming in the waters between Ypao Beach and Hyatt Regency on New Year’s Eve. JamzMedia and Bella Wings Aviation will be working with the Guam Police Department, Guam Fire Department, and GVB’s Visitor Safety Officers to keep everyone safe. GVB also encourages everyone who will watch the shows to keep Guam clean. SOURCE: Guam, USA: First to Welcome 2024 with Two Fireworks and Drone Show Read More
