Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Centre (GTRCMC) Celebrates Women in Tourism on International Women’s Day 2024

During the recent 2nd Global Tourism Resilience Day held in Montego Bay, Jamaica, the GTRCMC hosted a dynamic panel discussion titled “Women in Tourism Resilience.” This engaging session brought together influential women who shared their expertise and insights, emphasizing the pivotal role of women in shaping the tourism sector.

The panel explored three crucial themes: Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Empowerment and Leadership, and Networking and Collaboration. Throughout the event, attendees witnessed the extraordinary achievements of women as trailblazers and innovators, leveraging technology and driving transformative change in the tourism industry.

Minister the Hon Edmund Bartlett, Founder and Co-Chair of the GTRCMC, remarked, “On this International Women’s Day, we celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit of women in tourism and their pivotal role in building a sustainable and resilient global tourism sector.”
