DALLAS, April 23, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — 8 years ago, 11-year-old Geordon “Crazy Horse” Cox had an idea during his mother’s four-year battle with endometrial and cervical cancer. He decided to join his mother in her fight by channeling his frustration, love, and energy into something positive, and Strikes Against Cancer (SAC) was born. Geordon Cox and the evolution of Strikes Against Cancer 2018
The New Melissa Sports Complex, 4220 E. Melissa Road Melissa, TX 75454, opened in February of 2018. Travel Sports solidified a relationship with park Officials to have the 2018, and future, Strikes Against Cancer games in the City of Melissa, TX. Eight years later, this tournament has evolved into more than baseball, it has become a Life Event. Families travel great distances a week before the games to take advantage of the renown North Texas Cancer Facilities throughout the Dallas Metro-Plex. The 2017 proceeds went to: The American Brain Tumor Association, Melanoma Research Foundation, National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
NOW, if YOU “Find Crazy Horse”, YOUR team will play for FREE in the 2019 Strikes Against Cancer Annual Games hosted by Travel Sports. There’s ONLY 9 Golden Tickets! He could be anywhere!
