Artisanal desserts befit mum at D9 Cakery’s Limitless Saturday High Tea

Treat mum to a limitless Saturday high tea at D9 Cakery, known for having the best dessert spread in town. Starting in May, in conjunction with the month of Mother’s Day, look forward to new selections soon to be introduced to the high tea spread, which features more than 40 local and international delights. From fresh seafood to the coveted six-metre-long artisanal D9 dessert showcase that spotlights a limited-edition summer luxe tart collection using fresh seasonal berries. 

Mums will be pleased with healthier savory choices of grilled lacto baby chicken with Portuguese sauce from the live carving station, “The Impossible” vegetarian cheeseburger and the “Power Salad” station with freshly tossed superfoods. Give the diet a break with satisfying local specialties of homemade nasi lemak with chef’s special sambal recipe and prawn wanton noodles. Guests can also opt for a plate of à la minute rigatoni pasta with slow-braised Wagyu beef and Pecorino. Available every Saturday from noon to 3 p.m., D9 Limitless Saturday High Tea Buffet is priced from $58 on Mother’s Day (May 11) with special highlights and $48 on May 4, 18 and 25, all inclusive of free-flow TWG Teas.

Taking advantage of summer’s abundance, Hilton Singapore’s Executive Pastry Chef Cindy Khoo is paying tribute to all mums with an exclusive collection of fresh summer luxe berry tarts available for the entire month of May. Imagine a crumbly crust filled with an oozy lava purée of fresh fruits and premium Valrhona Opalys white chocolate, artfully topped with fresh antioxidant-loaded seasonal berries and edible flowers that will make a perfect gift for mum. The mini luxe tarts are priced at $11 each and 1 kg mixed berries tart is priced at $68.

A top pick to lavish mum for an indulgent “Sun-date” is definitely the Hilton Singapore Sunday Brunch with free-flow of Tattinger Champagne. A winning favorite amongst the city’s brunch crowd, featuring gourmet and seasonal specialties such as the seafood bar brimming with freshly shucked oysters, unlimited rounds of sweet treats from D9 Cakery’s artisanal six-metre-long dessert showcase and a dedicated cheese room with more than 30 types of imported European cheese.
