Contemporary art comes to Corinthia Hotel Budapest

Corinthia Hotel Budapest, the grand dame hotel in the city, has opened an art gallery on the ground floor. The Gallery Grand Boulevard will showcase Hungarian and regional artists on a rotating basis.

Currently, the Gallery is staging an exhibition of fashion designer and graphic artist Zita Borszeki’s work. From August 4th, it is the turn of Uzbek-born abstract artist Valera Iskhakov, and from September 1, works from Hungarian painter Andrelli Andrelli will be on show (all pictured).

From October 6, the art of Transylvanian painter Tibor Fazakas-Kosta will be exhibited, and from November 10, the gallery will be turned over to Arpad Muller, the Hungarian painter and graphic artist.

The exhibitions in the Gallery are curated by the Artel Galeria in Budapest which specializes in contemporary Hungarian art.

The Gallery replaces the space used for a souvenir shop in the hotel.
