SINGAPORE – This Valentine’s Day, Hilton Singapore has it covered for those pierced by cupid’s arrow. The hotel offers a plethora of romantic dining options and specially curated, set menus this Feb. 14-17, 2019 — from a magical Italian rooftop dining experience at il Cielo to a sizzling meal with some of the best meat cuts in Singapore at Opus Bar & Grill. The icing on the cake is a collection of limited-edition, handcrafted Valentine’s sweets by Executive Pastry Chef Cindy Khoo. 

Magical Sky Dining at il Cielo Rooftop Italian Restaurant (Feb. 14-16, 2019)

One of the most romantic settings on Orchard Road at our 24th-floor rooftop, guests can immerse themselves with a semi-alfresco dinner at il Cielo, complemented by a glass of champagne and scenic Orchard city skylines. Matching this magical ambience is a five-course menu of specially curated masterpieces by il Cielo Chef Yohhei Sasaki, incorporating seasonal Italian and Japanese ingredients perfected with his unique Japanese flair. 

The Valentine’s Day menu, available from Feb. 14-16, begins with red shrimp carpaccio with bagna cauda powder, gooseberry and sea asparagus followed by pan-fried Hokkaido scallops, Jerusalem artichoke purée, truffle milk foam, porcini mushroom and cacao powder. Next, indulge in homemade ravioli stuffed with cheese fondue and pan-fried lobster, topped with lobster cream carbonara sauce. Diners can select from the main course choices of either an Italian Dover sole with winter black truffle, saffron potatoes, beetroot sauce and Tuscan seafood sauce or braised Japanese shorthorn Wagyu short ribs with horseradish espuma and Valrhona dark chocolate. 

Conclude the evening on a sweet note with edible mixed flowers, rose gelato, white chocolate espuma and Valrhona chocolate mousse and an assortment of three kinds of chocolates. The dinner menu is priced at $168 per person (Feb. 14) and $148 per person (Feb. 15-16). Both are inclusive of a glass of champagne.

A Sizzling Valentine’s Day at Opus Bar & Grill (Feb. 14-17, 2019)

Celebrate love in style as the team of chefs at Opus presents an exclusive, three-course candlelight dinner with a complimentary glass of champagne. Hear the sounds of searing flames from the open-flame grill as the chef masterfully grills some of the best steaks in Singapore. Available from Feb. 14 to 17, the Valentine’s Day menu starts with a choice of pan-crusted scallops with Jerusalem artichoke purée, green peas, granny smith apple, black sesame tuile and cumin foam or seared Rougié foie gras with duo corn, Ras-el-hanout spice mix, diced Anpo Kaki (persimmon) and beetroot leaf. 

For the main course, there is a choice of pistachio and herb crusted filet mignon with roasted heirloom carrots, Japanese purple mashed potato and broccolini or the Chilean black cod with yellow beet, creamy green risotto, peas and garlic chips. Complete the meal with a spiced cherry, dried rose petal mousse and ginger cookie. The dinner menu is priced at $108 per person (Feb. 14) and $98 per person (Feb. 15-17) and is inclusive of a glass of champagne.             

Limited edition, pastel-coloured handcrafted sweets at D9 Cakery (Feb. 1-28, 2019)

Known for her artisanal and fine handcrafted creations, Executive Pastry Chef Cindy Khoo of D9 Cakery celebrates this season of love with a limited edition, Valentine’s Day collection available from Feb. 1 to 28, 2019. For a whole 500g gateau, the blazing red, heart-shaped royal rose tea with wild berries ($48) is a perfect gift to profess one’s love or alternatively, the mini pink rose-shaped gateau perfectly combines flavours of rosé champagne and 50 percent kidavao cremeux ($11). Indulge in the limited-edition collection of macarons and pralines ($4 each) featuring macaron flavours of pastel green ume Japanese plum and pink ruby amarena cherry, handcrafted pralines of orange blossom and jasmine flower flavours.
