Lotte World and Hyundai Seoul Department Store Visitors Experience the Island’s Vibrant Spirit.
The Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) lit up Lotte World Seoul with its eye-catching “Color of Guam” pop-up booth, attracting waves of excitement and hundreds of curious visitors. As part of GVB Korea’s lively “Color of Guam” campaign, the booth brought the island’s natural beauty and tropical vibes right to the heart of Seoul, offering a mini escape for city dwellers.
Set against a backdrop of lush palm trees and beach-inspired decor, the booth instantly transported visitors to Guam’s azure shores. Adding an extra dose of island authenticity, the talented Chamorro performance group “Guma’ Taotao Tåno’” took center stage, captivating the audience with traditional dances that reflected Guam’s rich cultural heritage.

Visitors eagerly participated in interactive activities, including a Guam travel voucher giveaway, where sharing their experience on Instagram unlocked a chance to win the ultimate island getaway. GVB Korea’s Instagram followers also gathered to spin the roulette for a shot at special Guam-themed prizes like picnic mats and travel pouches. “Kiko” the beloved Ko’Ko’ bird mascot added a playful touch, drawing smiles as people posed for photos with Guam’s feathered friend.
“We were thrilled to bring the Chamorro spirit to so many people—from families to couples, to Seoul’s dynamic MZ generation. We hope the magic of Guam inspires them to visit and experience its beauty firsthand,” said Robert Hofmann, GVB Board Director and Mayor of Sinajana.
The event was a highlight of the day at Lotte World, where over 16,000 visitors flocked to the park. The ‘Color of Guam’ booth at Weeny Beeny Square stood out as a must-see, garnering enthusiastic responses from a diverse crowd.
This exhibition took place after the successful conclusion of the “Color of Guam” exhibition at The Hyundai Seoul Department Store. This immersive art showcase ran from October 14 to 20, offering visitors a rare glimpse into Guam’s natural beauty, vibrant culture, and rich heritage through the unique perspectives of five talented Korean artists. The exhibition was especially meaningful as it was the first-ever destination-related exhibition held at The Hyundai Seoul, further emphasizing its significance.
