Bangkok, 09 November, 2020 – Each year the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is pleased to invite everyone to the world-famous “Surin Elephant Round-up” in the Northeastern province of Surin, which pays homage to the way of life, culture and tradition of the local Kui people and the longstanding relationship they have nurtured over the years with Thailand’s majestic elephants.
This year is particularly special for the Surin Elephant Round-up, scheduled for 12-23 November, as it marks the 60th anniversary of the event itself and also the 60th anniversary of TAT.

At 08.00 Hrs. on the following day, Friday 20 November, a world-famous buffet breakfast is put on for the elephants at the Phraya Surin Phakdi Si Narong Chang Wang Monument. On 20-21 November a spectacular light and sound show will take place at Prasat Sikhoraphum, a Khmer temple in Prasat Sikhoraphum District of Surin, starting at 19.30 Hrs.
