Hilton Leeds City Teamed up with Candlelighters to Host Fundraising Event

LEEDS, United Kingdom – Hilton Leeds City is proud to be working with Yorkshire children’s charity Candlelighters to host the upcoming Yorkshire Sporting Legends Charity Dinner on Friday, 9th November, 2018. The event features local sports personalities Jamie Peacock and Brian Deane, who will be sharing inspiration and sports anecdotes.
The dinner will benefit two children’s charities, Candlelighters, Yorkshire’s children’s cancer charity and DM Thomas Foundation for Young People, dedicated to helping disadvantaged and vulnerable young people and children transform their lives.
The event starts at 7pm and guests will enjoy a drinks reception followed by dinner. The evening will be hosted by Halifax based comedian Peter Emmett.
Gary Morrison, general manager, Hilton Leeds City, said “We are committed to making a difference in our community and this event is just one way we can support two great charities that have a significant impact on the lives of local children and families at a time when they need support.”
Brian Curran, Candlelighters corporate fundraiser, said, “We are grateful to Hilton Leeds City for supporting us with this event. The money raised will help us continue to support local children with cancer, and their families. This event will make a real difference to our work.”

In addition to enjoying a great meal, there will fun and games and guests will have the opportunity to bid for sporting memorabilia.
