THE STATES GENERAL OF THE GREEN ECONOMY AT ECOMONDO

Rimini 22 October 2018 – At the opening of Ecomondo e Key Energy, there will once again be the appointment with the States General of the Green Economy, promoted by the National Council of the Green Economy and in collaboration with the Italian Ministry for the Environment, this year dedicated to the topic “Green economy and new employment to boost Italian economy”. The seventh edition of the States General will be held at Italian Exhibition Group’s Rimini expo centre on the first two expo days (6^th and 7^th November), and will be divided into two plenary sessions and five in-depth thematic sessions.

On the occasion of the opening plenary session, in the morning of 6^th November in Neri Room – South Foyer, there will be a presentation of the 2018 Report on the state of the green economy and the green economy’s priority proposals for the XVIII legislature, drawn up by the National Council for the green economy, to examine in depth the green economy’s potential for new employment and submit proposals to the political forces on some priorities for the legislature able to exploit Italy’s potential.

The international plenary session on the morning of 7^th November, from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm in Neri Room 1 – South Foyer, will on the other hand be dedicated to international networking on “The role of companies in the transition to green economy: world trends“, in which participants will include authoritative institutional representative and large national and multinational companies.

The in-depth thematic and consultation sessions will be dedicated to: Green cities; Electric and shared transport; Transposition of Directives on the circular economy; New Common Agricultural Policy (CAP); the National Energy and Climate Plan.
