“When I first moved to Upstate, I recognized it as a region more people should enjoy and experience, not only as a beautiful place to live, but also as a destination,” says Gene Zhou, Chairman of Top Capital of New York. “Our goal in developing these properties is to create warm, welcoming, and beautiful settings for residents and visitors to enjoy these pristine locales.”
Recently opened, the Chateau at Heritage Square in Brockport, an $18M investment, is an upscale independent and assisted living community for seniors 62+. The luxury facilities include large well-appointed apartments with fireplaces, granite counters and tiles bathe. Other amenities include a fine dining restaurant and cocktail lounge that is open to the public, a patio fireplace, putting green, bocce courts, walking paths, public salon and spa, housekeeping, transportation and 24-hour on-site security.
Top Capital’s largest project in development is Saratoga Station Park Complex in Saratoga Springs, New York, a $91M investment. When complete in 2019, the property will include luxury hotel, salon & spa, fine dining, shopping, outdoor recreation space, underground parking, luxury condominiums, and senior apartments. The property is adjacent to the train station, making it perfectly outfitted for travelers coming from New York, Boston, and Montreal. Where a vast, unwelcoming empty landscape once was, visitors will now be greeted off the train by a warm atmosphere, rich with local flair.
Also, currently developing a $36M boutique destination hotel, conference center, salon and spa at Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School Campus in Rochester, N.Y., set to open in 2019. Built in 1927, this one-of-a-kind, European-inspired, 24-acre campus has been immaculately maintained to retain its original character for nearly a century. The School selected Top Capital earlier this year, after a 20-year search for a buyer that would maintain the original character of the buildings and grounds. As part of the project, they will build a new custom-designed, state-of-the art facility on the property, so they can continue to their community legacy.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to be breaking ground across the Upstate region,” says Zhou. “We hope these properties will serve as places locals and travelers can escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy time with their families, friends and business associates for many years to come.”
