“Taphus” the original Danish name for Charlotte Amalie, roughly translates to “Tap House” from the wildest times in St. Thomas’s history.
Tour guests taste interesting adult beverages such as locally distilled Arc vodka and Bones Rum, along with world famous Cruzan Rum, Pain Killers, Bushwhackers and make-their-own rum punch.

Along with visits to downtown eateries to try local street food like pates, the Virgin Islands cousin to empanadas that is seasoned meat or fish in pastry which is then fried to perfection and sweet fried plantain.
Tours begin at 1 pm and cost just 59.99 a person for all the food, liquor and fun.
St. Thomas Food Tours also welcomes guests on their Historic Main Street Food tour where guests sample local fare, including tropical iced tea, scrumptious rum cake, conch fritters, ripe plantain, curry chicken and rice and peas.
