St. Thomas Food Tours Adds New Drinking Tour for Lovers of Libations

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, June 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — St. Thomas Food Tours launched their new “Taphus Spirits & Bites Tour,” a two-plus hour stroll through downtown Charlotte Amalie in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands’ most interesting drinking establishments while learning about the captivating story of rum on the islands, which includes tales of pirates, sugar cane plantations, and drinking on St. Thomas in the early 1700s.

“Taphus” the original Danish name for Charlotte Amalie, roughly translates to “Tap House” from the wildest times in St. Thomas’s history.

Tours begin at 1 pm and cost just 59.99 a person for all the food, liquor and fun.
