Inventor Develops Accessory for Portable Urinals

PITTSBURGH, Jan. 31, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — “As a nurse working in the health-care system, I see patients struggle with having to use a traditional portable urinal,” said an inventor from Brentwood, N.Y. “In order to help individuals use these types of urinals more comfortably, I came up with this convenient accessory.”

He created a prototype for the URINAL FLEX to enable the individual to urinate directly into the container. The accessory makes it easier to angle the stream of urine properly so that it goes into the collection vessel. This prevents spills and leaks, which minimizes clean-up time after urinating. Also, the device enhances comfort for the patient. Furthermore, the unit offers added peace of mind to patients and health-care providers.

The original design was submitted to the Long Island office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
