(NASDAQ: MAR), today announced the opening of its dual-branded hotel, JW Marriott Hotel Yinchuan and Courtyard by Marriott Yinchuan in Northwest China, recognized as an oasis in China’s hinterland, a historical and distinctive destination surrounded by deserts and the Helan Mountains. Invested and established by Ningxia Genyuan Real Estate Development Co., Ltd., the dual-branded hotel is an architectural masterpiece depicting a grand sailing ship boasting a total of 513 rooms. Marriott International, Inc. to Delist from NYSE Chicago Stock Exchange
Marriott International, Inc. (Nasdaq: MAR) today announced plans to withdraw its common stock from listing on NYSE Chicago, formerly known as the Chicago Stock Exchange. Marriott has decided to withdraw the listing to reduce administrative costs and requirements. Marriott anticipates that the withdrawal will be effective on September 20, 2020, and that NYSE Chicago will suspend trading in its common stock before the market opens on September 21, 2020. Marriott’s common stock will continue to be listed on the Nasdaq Global Select Market.

Marriott International Appoints Felitia Lee Controller and Chief Accounting Officer
Marriott International, Inc. (Nasdaq: MAR) today announced the appointment of Felitia Lee as Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, effective August 28, 2020. Ms. Lee will be the Company’s principal accounting officer and report to Leeny Oberg, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Lee succeeds Bao Giang Val Bauduin, who is taking on the role of Chief Financial Officer for Consumer Operations, Technology and Emerging Businesses for the company. Ms. Lee joined Marriott in May 2020 supporting management of the company’s accounting operations.
“Felitia brings a strong track record of leading large organizations through change and delivering results,” said Leeny Oberg, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Marriott International. “Felitia has significant financial experience in controllership, audit, shared services and acquisitions and integrations. Prior to Marriott, Ms. Lee served as Senior Vice President and Controller for Kohl’s Corporation where she led financial reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley processes, capital management, tax planning and compliance.
Before her time at Kohl’s Corporation, Ms. Lee held numerous roles with PepsiCo, Inc., culminating in positions as Vice President and Controller of Pepsi Cola North America, and after its merger with two of its largest bottlers, Vice President and Controller of the Pepsi Beverage Company. Earlier in her career, she served as International Finance Director and Assistant Controller, Visioncare, at Pilkington, plc, a global glass manufacturer, and Audit Manager at Coopers & Lybrand, an accounting firm now part of PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Ms. Lee is a graduate of Santa Clara University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

New motorway opens more tourism destinations, attractions in Thailand’s Eastern Corridor

Bangkok, 31 August, 2020 – A 32-kilometre motorway opening in Thailand’s rapidly developing Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) will significantly enhance access to a broad range of new destinations, sites, and attractions in the coastal provinces of Chon Buri, Chachoengsao, and Rayong.
The motorway will also facilitate connections between Bangkok’s main aviation hub of Suvarnabhumi Airport and the airport/seaport of U-tapao in Rayong province, and enable visitors to make cross-border trips to neighbouring Cambodia.
The Royal Thai Government has identified tourism as one of the four core areas that will help transform the EEC into the leading economic zone in Southeast Asia.
The route starts at the Map Prachan Intersection between Chonburi – Pattaya, passing the Bang Lamung District and Sattahip District, Chonburi province, ending at the intersection with Highway 3, Ban Chang District, Rayong province.
Located on the northern rim of the Gulf of Thailand, the provinces of Chon Buri, Rayong and Chachoengsao are rich in tourism, which TAT plans to extend, improve and promote, according to their different characteristics, such as:
“Chachoengsao: Thai Way of Life” due to its strengths in lifestyle, culture and agriculture.
“Chon Buri: Modern of the East” because it is modern combined with localness. Pattaya is 1 of 5 MICE cities in Thailand.
“Rayong: BIZ City” This is an industrial estate area and has a lot of business activities.
Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) said, “The EEC is a diverse region and offers a huge range of attractions to tourists and visitors. We want people coming here to work or travel to have the chance to explore the culture of the area.
“The well-established tourist resort of Pattaya is renowned, and visitors come to visit the beach, enjoy fine-dining, nightlife and off-shore attractions. But now there is a drive to extend and improve attractions offering more diverse and family-friendly experiences in the beach resort city, as well as in the nearby provinces of Rayong and Chachoengsao.”
Because of the transportation and easy access, this will boost tourism in the EEC that will benefit the local people and businesses with investment, jobs and income. This route is Thailand’s first historic intercity highway will advance the connectivity between the Central and Eastern regions and cement the role of the EEC as a bridgehead between Thailand and the ASEAN region.
