
A woman, who stole her aunt’s passport and used it to visit, on Sunday was sentenced to 90 days in jail by the Dubai Court of First Instance.
Public prosecution records show the 23-year-old woman misused her Emirati aunt’s passport when she travelled through the Dubai AIRPORT TERMINAL.

She was accused of stealing other’s passport, deploying it and benefitting from that use wrongfully.
The defendant was caught on June 10 at the airport. The entire case of passport loss was registered at Al Qusais police station.
Prosecutors had referred her to trial with a plea she received a stiff penalty, according to the statutory law.
The complainant, a 28-year-old housewife, said that on, may 28, she reported at the authorities station that she was lost by her passport which she kept at her bedroom closet. “I learned then that the passport was utilized by my niece when leaving the airport.”
She discovered later that it had been the defendant who stole it. “Her mother explained that her daughter had plans to visit a friend. However the latter powered down her cellular phone and didn’t go back to the homely house. She had packed her clothes also.”
The accused admitted during investigation she took her aunt’s passport to go to Turkey on, may 27 and returned on June 10.
A report from the overall directorate of criminal evidence and criminology said that the passport is authentic and the photo onto it isn’t the defendant’s.
The niece was apprehended at the airport upon her arrival. The verdict may be appealed.
