Tourism Seychelles Unites With Tuscany’s Travel Agents to Boost Summer Bookings

Tourism Seychelles recently partnered with Tour Operator I Grandi Viaggi and Constance Hotels to host an exclusive event.

The event held in the upscale countryside community of Monteriggioni near Siena, Italy, brought together 20 carefully selected travel agents from the area, providing the perfect opportunity to teach the best-selling agents, boost their bookings, and promote brand recognition and trade visibility.

With a pool of prominent tour operators (TOs) with wealthy clients united, the timing was ideal to start advertising summer vacations.

The event included seated supper and presentations from the various partners and provided participants with the perfect opportunity for interaction. The agents were able to learn more about the destination while clarifying any queries they had, gathering marketing materials, and taking part in a networking meal with partners.

Constance Hotels was a key partner, showcasing its two hotels, Ephélia and Lémuria, as well as the latest upgrades and client-friendly activities.

The agents are quite proactive in promoting the brand among the trade and consumers, and both properties are highly valued on the Italian market.

One of the pioneers on the market and a well-known Italian tour operator, I Grandi Viaggi was a top achiever in terms of the number of visitors to Seychelles in 2022. Since its foundation in 1932, when Italian tourists first began travelling abroad, the firm has constructed several resorts, known as IGV Clubs, in various nations, including Seychelles, where it operates the Seychelles Cote D’or Club and Chauve Souris Relais.

The event in Tuscany was one of several upcoming initiatives by Tourism Seychelles to advertise the beauty of the archipelago to the public through events and online resources, as well as through cooperative marketing with TOs, hoteliers, and airlines.

The Italian market has already shown significant growth this year, with 3,496 arrivals recorded as of week 12 in 2023, a 52% increase from 2022. With strong partnerships and a growing market, Seychelles is well-positioned to attract more visitors from Italy and beyond.
