Thailand extends happy New Year 2021 best wishes to the world

Bangkok, 24 December, 2020 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is launching a new 30-second television commercial (TVC) to wish the world a happy New Year 2021 and help all look beyond the challenges of 2020, as we continue to get through the COVID-19 pandemic together.

Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor, said, “Until we can meet again, TAT would like to wish everyone around the world health and happiness for the New Year 2021. It’s a brand new year and opportunity for all to look forward to a brighter future, so we hope the new TVC helps keep Thailand top-of-mind with potential travellers.”

The TVC features the warm smiles of the Thai people around the country, as a reminder of Thailand’s incredible hospitality. This is complemented with the picturesque scenery of popular attractions and tourist destinations around the kingdom.

Scenes of remote islands, azure blue ocean, and white sandy beaches sow the seeds for dream beach holidays, juxtaposed with Thai massage and spa treatments, meditation retreats, and cliffside sunsets overlooking the Andaman Sea. TAT will share the TVC through global media channels and on social media accounts via its network of global offices with the #amazingthailand hashtag to reiterate that Thailand remains a destination for all travellers to dream about visiting again in 2021.
