A derelict barn will undoubtedly be transformed right into a tea room and a Ti-Pee camping site opened at a farm in Parson Drove.
Fenland planners approved the application form by Alan Dixon, despite fears over noise, rubbish and traffic.
Mr Dixon said: “I own the farm so when i came i was 14-years-old here.
“You can find multiple habitats through the entire farm which is something I’m very passionate about.
“This proposal is of a confident nature and I did so not need to cause problems for anybody.
“I’ve had a lot of support because of this and I’m seeking to encourage visitors to come and see what’s on the doorstep.”
However, councillors had their doubts at a planning committee meeting today (July 18), saying they &ldquo were;unsure if tourism could out weigh any problems”.
But Councillor Will Sutton said: “I agree but we have been considering something a little more holistic. I believe if this is exactly what it needs to obtain it off the bottom then this is a price worth paying.”
Plans were submit in 2016 first.
