The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) is excited to share a major investment in the country’s tourism sector with the acquisition of an existing hotel property in Runaway Bay by the TUI Global Hospitality Fund.
This property will be completely redesigned and will open as the Royalton CHIC Jamaica Paradise Cove, an Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort for Adults Only, scheduled to welcome guests in late 2026.
The announcement, which came at one of the largest international tourism fairs, the ITB in Berlin, is a major move that is welcomed by Minister of Tourism, Hon. Edmund Bartlett. “This is a significant boost to Jamaica’s tourism as this new luxury property development will increase the diversity of offerings. It also signals yet again the confidence our global partners have in the destination and is in alignment with our 5x5x5 strategy to increase our room stock, arrivals and earnings.”
The new luxury, adults-only property will feature 345 meticulously designed suites.
These include premium Diamond Club™ accommodations that offer personalized butler services and exclusive amenities. Guests will enjoy four upscale dining venues and an international buffet, along with swim-out rooms and beachfront pools created for sophisticated social gatherings.
Peter Krueger, TUI Group’s Chief Strategy Officer & CEO of Holiday Experiences, emphasized the strategic importance of this investment. “TUI, as a shareholder in Royalton, is already a leading leisure hotel provider in the Caribbean. Many international guests, not only from Europe but also from North America, ensure that the hotel locations are highly profitable. I am very pleased that we are driving forward the value-adding business in Jamaica with the support of the hotel fund investors.”
The resort will adopt Royalton CHIC Resorts’ signature “Party Your Way” concept, allowing visitors to customize their experience in Jamaica—whether they prefer serene beachside relaxation, spa indulgences, or vibrant entertainment and social events.
Gregory Shervington, Regional Director for Europe at the Jamaica Tourist Board, added that the investment is a strong vote of confidence in Jamaica’s tourism industry and business environment. “Jamaica continues to attract premium international brands and significant investments, reinforcing our position as a world-class tourism destination,” said Shervington. “The TUI Global Hospitality Fund’s investment, coupled with Royalton’s expansion in our island, clearly sends a strong signal of endorsement of Jamaica’s positive investment climate and our government’s strategic focus on sustainable tourism development.”
The project marks the third asset of the TUI Global Hospitality Fund and continues the expansion of TUI’s significant Caribbean presence, which already includes 78 hotels across the region. For Jamaica, this development follows several other major tourism investments announced in recent months, highlighting the island’s growing appeal to international hospitality groups.
This investment is a validation of the country’s strategic tourism development initiatives and business-friendly policies that continue to attract high-caliber international partners.
