Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton Relay in Seychelles

On the occasion of the Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton Relay in Seychelles, the Australian High Commissioner to the Seychelles, Her Excellency Ms. Susan Coles, hosted what was called an Australian Sunset Reception for the finale of the relay on Mahe last Wednesday, April 12 at Auberge Chez Plume, Anse Boileau.

The team accompanying the Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton was on hand to discuss its impression of the Seychelles and the tour of the Queen’s Baton.

Present that evening was Alain St.Ange, the former Minister of the Seychelles and now the island’s candidate for the post of Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), as well as sitting ministers, diplomats, sports officials, members of the Australian past students alumni and the local Australian contingent.
